In Loving Memory of Ron "Howie"
The story of Camp Big Bucks began in 1956 when Leo and Anna purchased 74.23 acres in the Southern Tier Region of New York State for $5,800. 50,000 trees were planted all by hand including scotch pine, red pine and blue spruce.
A forty foot trailer existed on the property from 1983 until 1999 when it was mysteriously burned to the ground. In August of 2003, construction of a pole barn began by Ron and his three sons Kevin, Ric and Keith. It was a labor of love for future generations of family and friends as all pulled together and the project was completed in August of 2004.
In June of 2008 a quarter acre pond was dug behind the barn with hopes of adding a beautiful scenic view and hours of enjoyment for Ron's grandchildren.
Through the years Camp Big Bucks has been a place where family and friends come together to hunt, work and play. It is a place where all that go truly come to enjoy the simple things in life.
Sadly, on November 19th, 2009 Ron passed away, but he left a legacy of love for his wife, his sons, family and friends. When we want to feel close to you Camp Big Bucks is where we go. And... as Ron would always say "It's noon somewhere"....so cheers to you Dad and Thank you!
In 2010 Camp Big Bucks was established as a LLC.
